Graham Klag’s work is rooted in restoration ecology, exploring the interconnected relationships within natural systems. Drawing from both science and lived experience, his art invites reflection on how we might more thoughtfully inhabit and care for the ecosystems we are a part of.

The Olympica series incorporates plant pigments gathered during native seed collection in Olympic National Park. These seeds contributed to the riparian restoration following the Elwha River dam removals. Immersed in this landscape, Graham translates these experiences into paintings constructed from cut paper, ink, and natural pigments, forming layered ecological allegories.
